Marana

Marana

The Town of Marana, located just a few miles northwest of Tucson along the Santa Cruz River, offers gorgeous views of the Tucson and Santa Catalina mountain ranges.  The town, which was incorporated in 1977 and celebrates a significant farming and agricultural history, has been experiencing significant growth in recent years. Part of that growth has included the development of the affluent residential community of Dove Mountain and the construction of the newest Ritz-Carlton Resort at Dove Mountain to offer upscale amenities and activities.

Marana boasts a significant number of trails for walking, hiking and biking activities including access to more than 40 miles of trails from the town. The town offers an array of courses for all ages and interests ranging from sports to arts and crafts. For golf enthusiasts, Marana features some of Arizona’s top golf courses including the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, the Gallery Golf Club and Quarry Pines to name a few. Within a few miles, residents and guests may visit the Biosphere II, the Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park, or Old Tucson.

Marana offers several gated, residential communities to choose from including Dove Mountain, Continental Reserve, and Saguaro Ranch to name a few. In addition to gated communities, Marana offers many ungated subdivisions as well such as Continental Ranch, Gladden Farms and the new Palisades at San Lucas. There are also many opportunities to purchase larger lots of land for custom home building as well as equestrian use.
